Hi
classmates! Well, this semester has been strange and we haven’t all subjects
but of those we have I think that “historical and culture context of the body
in dance” is my favorite.
In this class we work with different text that
relation dance with the body across the history, how they change, what is the
concept of body in different cultures, among other things, we analyzed this and
we develop a conversation.
Inside the
contents that we have seen, the most important to me has been the “concept of
culture”. In this time we have analyzed the concept of culture, the “evolution”
of this, the existence of different cultures, other concepts related like
ethnology and ethnography, and this entire seen from different visions, some
anthropologists, persons related with the culture and dance, other disciplines
like the gymnastics and our own visions and experiences.
This class
It’s very interesting to me because I like to know the “history” of the body
and other visions of this, the concept of body in dance and understand that as
more than just an object, and not just that, but our “universal” culture and
how this idea to big and only culture has destroyed other considered less
important or less develop, omitting their beliefs, repressing and oppressing
their body’s and removing all the characteristics elements of their culture, in
other words, the phenomenon of colonization in all own ways. I could continue
because I like it but it would be very extensive so this is all for now, I hope
your semester and classes be good, bye!
